Lost tooth

Thing 1 lost his 3rd tooth this week in the great Miner family way of tying the tooth to a door with dental floss and then giving the door a quick tug.

He has the best smile right now missing a front tooth!!! However, the night he lost his tooth he got in trouble for saying something very mean to his brother :( He was in soooo much trouble that we were pretty sure the tooth fairy would not leave him any money so he decided to hide his tooth and then on another night put it under his pillow when he wasn't in trouble.

Well, the tooth fairy found his "hidden" tooth and left him a special message. He was very surprised when he woke up!

Trouble with a capital T

Thing 3 has recently developed a love for coloring. Normally this would be a great thing, a good step in childhood development, right? Well, Thing 3 has decided that paper is no good for coloring on, the best thing to color on is her hands.

Yippee!!! I have washed her hands almost everyday. Time for the markers to get put away in a very high place.

Our little ninja

I always thought Thing 3 would start off doing dance, but I was wrong. My precious little girl is now a little ninja and LOVES it!!!

She had her first class this week. It was probably one of the cutest things EVER!! She had a blast doing races and frog jumps across the mat. She is an expert at bowing. If she wasn't sure what to do she would stand at attention and then bow, I think she learned it from all the hours of watching her brothers. She quickly got the hang of punching too. However, the girl-ness in her did come out because she kept running up to the mirror and admiring herself until the instructor came and literally carried her back to her spot :) She had everyone under her spell. The whole room was watching and smiling at her :)

Dark Blue Belts

The boys had their Tae Kwon Do graduation! Go boys!!!

They did great. Thing 2 had his best graduation ceremony yet! They are now dark blue belts. In order to graduate they have to earn 3 stripes, one for board breaking, one for form, and one for behavior. The form and behavior stripes are the ones that are most difficult for them. At a TKD graduation the boys demonstrate the skills they learned. I think their favorite part is breaking their boards. This time my boys went all out decorating

their boards. Poor Thing 3 had to sit through the whole graduation, or I guess I should really say poor Mom and Dad who had to keep thing 3 occupied during the graduation. But she (and we) survived.

A Tae Kwon Do weekend

Hello all! Last weekend was awesome! A few weeks ago Thing 1 was asked to be on the demo team at their Tae Kwon Do school, Jason Yi's Tae Kwon Do College. This weekend was their first performance. His team practiced every night the week before the performance. He looked so grown

up. I was dropping him off when it was light outside and picking him up when it was dark. It took me back to when I was going to dance classes at his age. The big performance was on Saturday at the end of the TKD school's Open house/Carnival. Some of our awesome neighbors came to cheer him on which was really special. When he came time for the performance Kevin had a little crowd of fans there just for him. He did great!!! I was a very proud Mama!!! Goooooo Thing 1!!

Thing 2 had his spotlight moment too, I am trying to figure out how to put the picture in :) Thing 2 got to do a Breakathon for St. Jude's hospital. He got pledges from his grandparents and then got to break as many boards as he could in 30 seconds. He picked one of his very hardest kicks, a jumping front snap kick and broke 12 boards. For his last board his instructor doubled it and in one kick he broke two boards!!!! Yeah Thing 2!!!

A great start! The circus!!!

 Yesterday we went to the circus!!! We were all very excited! The kids kept asking "are we there yet" the whole 20 minutes it took us to get there :) The pre-party was lots of fun! Thing 1 was a little nervous to get in the action and dance with the clowns, but Thing 2 had no problems at all!!! He jumped right in and did the Mambo and even learned a little Kung Fu. Thing 3 spent the time riding on her Daddy's shoulders which gave her the best view of the elephant painting which was her favorite!!! Our seats were alright but I noticed a lot of empty seats in a better section. Once the show began we moved to those and had a great view! My 3 things danced, giggled, and cheered at the clowns, animals, acrobats, and motorcycles! At one point Thing 2 just stood up and started dancing all by himself to "I'm sexy and I know it" The people behind us were very entertained.
